Bill, I've done some of 66. I ended up in some corn fields. The maps are a bit vague. I think the Upper Amazon has the same problem.

Ah, better bring a GS then. So this is why there are Route 66 guided tours. Perhaps a business opportunity for you Nota? "Our tour guide was such a troll...."
