does the website stream races live, like MotoGP.com (granted, you've got to pay for the latter, but it's worth it!)?

I want to make sure I don't miss a single race of the WSBK season, and that I see them live....

WSBK races are FAR more exciting than MotoGP - I just saw my first one; 2008 Portimao where Bayliss ended on top. And the marketing potential is so much greater obviously - you see your hero on a bike, then go down to the dealer and buy the same damned thing! (well, without $20,000 in suspension and carbon brakes or whatever)

But the position battling is far, far more fluid and exciting than in MotoGP. And I love watching MotoGP, so I just went all potty over WSBK. I'll probably be screaming as if it were a football match every time BMW gains a position.

And I now know how Corser and Xaus ride. Corser's the stable yet fast guy - he placed second in the 2008 championship on a Yamaha R1, while Xaus is a stark raving mad animal, pushing a privateer Ducati as fast as all the factory supported bikes. His passing maneuvers are stunning in the sheer balls he has, was I watching two-wheeled NASCAR?? BMW better have plenty of spare S1000RRs for him, he's going to wreck a bunch, no doubt about it!

When is the first race! I definitely want to put the dates in my calendar, as I'm usually rubbish at catching events that I'm interested in.

I've lost count of the number of times I've been asked, "How did you enjoy the Springboks match?" and I've had to admit that I had completely forgotten that my national side was playing...
Formerly on a Lahar Grey F800S, then after 47,000 happy miles it was traded in for a new Midnight Black F800ST, which was more or less converted back to an S. And now I'm on a brand new R1200RS, which is rather awesome! I'll still stick around if you'll have me, though, as my wife is now on the F800...

Only three more weeks and I'll be watching WSBK live from the roof of the pit building at the Phillip Island Circuit! I'll try to record some video (and audio of course) of the S 1000 RR's racing debut and will post it for your enjoyment.
Take it out and play with it

I love March - Formula 1 in Oz. Love it.

Last season the races were streamed live from the worldsbk website and it is OK. In the UK Eurosport provided very good coverage but you need a sky subscription . I hope one day that the sports ruling bodies get there act together and do some decent packages via the web.

However the nice thing is you can still watch last seasons races at the worldsbk site as long as you have windows media player.

Check out philip island last year at 27mins 30 secs the start of race one and poor Fabrizio get wacked. Or just check the highlights.

There is some very good motoGP after race shizzle available as a podcast via itunes check it out, but nothing for world superbikes .

If you want to get a bit more involved in the seasons motoGP, WSB and even Bristish Super Bikes then I have set up a F800riders.org fantasy league check out the General section of this site for more info.

Since I'm in Korea, the only international sports channel I get is Star Sports (a British English station out of Hong Kong) - they show the MotoGP races, so I can only hope they show the WSBK races as well!

Either that, or I can live with live streaming on the web, please please don't let me down WSBK!!!
