Is this a good deal for Garmin Zumo 660's?

In their most recent newsletter (Mid-April) RKA Luggage is offering a group buy for $350 for a Garmin Zumo 660. Their regular price is $579.95. I don't know any thing about this model, I have a much cheaper Garmin and have used Garmin's for years.

I assume that a new model is coming out, thus the discounted price. Is this a good deal to for me to upgrade my GPS for my bike? What do you think?

I have already found some places selling this model for even less, between $314 and $350 when I googled it. From older posts I found here, people seem to like this GPS. But there hasn't been anything posted in the last year or so. Any updates or info on the latest hoy model of GPS for motorcycles?

The Zumo 660 is an old model, out of production for quite some time now (years?). Apparently, RKA is clearing their stock. You should be able to get a better deal!

Just because it's old doesn't make it bad. My Street III Plus is still a good device for a number of features. Navigation wise, it's a dinosaur but it does tricks the new ones don't.
Having a GPS like the 660 is a boon to getting there even as long as one can get updates to maps and POI's.
Especially if it is designed for use on the bike, a very harsh environment.

My 660 is going strong and it is a decent GPS. Garmin claims that Basecamp route planning software is incompatible with it, but I have planned lots of complex routes and other than occasional minor glitches, it works like a champ.

I thought of buying one because they were so cheap. My new to me F800GT came with the locking Touratech mount that I have no use for otherwise.

I've had a Garmin 660 with Lifetime maps for some years now and I'm well satisfied with it.
It's not 100% accurate but it's very close. If new roads - bypasses for instance - are not on the current mapping it will soon pick the route up automatically. The only minor downside, it doesn't give your e.t.a like the earlier models.

My 660 displays ETA. You need to tap either the left or right data window and select "Arrival Time."

That choice only appears when you have a route active.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it as soon as I am driving/riding again.
Currently recovering from a cataract removal on one eye and laser treatment on the other one.

Update - I put a 'live' route in the device and tapped the Miles to Go box and the E.T.A came up instead. I must find the manual again and read it!.

I had a BMW Nav IV on my previous GS, and it was a fine piece of kit. The Nav IV was a relabeled Garmin 660. If you are an "early adopter" type, you may not find it has all of the bells and whistles of newer GPS, but I found it to be reliable and durable.

I stumbled upon a comment FrankV made a couple months ago. The hardware is the same with a Garmin 590LM and a 595LM. You can upgrade the firmware from the 590 to the 595. It worked just fine. So I had purchased a refurbished 590LM for a little over $500, and now have a 595LM that costs $800.
