Here is a link to an interesting interview of a fellow who rode his well-modified and supported KTM around Antarctica and now plans to do the same at the North Pole.

It's all in the fine print. Recharging the batteries for the 200 amp draw of the snow suit with generators at night in the snow mobiles guiding him.
Houston, we ain't alone out here.
I thought that the Antarctic had tighter controls on who could do what on the continent. Not necessarily an Adventures playground. Though the experience would be fantastic...to boldly go where not, if any, man had gone before.

About 10 years ago a woman rode around the world on her BMW F650GS single and visited every continent, including Antarctica. But in her case, she just had her bike dropped onto the dock area, rode around for a few minutes and then got back on the ship, just to say that she did it. This fellow must have had big bucks and some important people backing his travels. Or perhaps KTM made a big donation to the save the penguins fund?
