Ducati has designed a new engine using spring operated valves with a 60K kilometer adjustment interval. Now that is a useful design change. Here is the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaA8DFnzRUw

i've been watching a system called freevalve, a company involved with koenigsegg. It's an air operated valve system, no cams needed at all.

Just when you think the wheel has been perfected, along comes a new idea. NEAT-O!
Not that I can afford a new toy and the valve inspection interval of my 04 Wee Strom is about 60K miles. And I have a nice V twin for fun riding.
So good for those that will be in the market and need the power at least there will be a new choice.

Ya I saw this the other day,,.
Pretty good strategy, that valve maintenance has always been a knock on Ducati, especially the Multistrada,
(the 07 models had increased intervals of 7500 and 15000 miles from 6000 and 12000 for services).

Sure a quality looking pcs of kit and now a real alternative to the R1250GS, probable as much money,,.
