Kawasaki has done the H-D-thing and has spun off their motorcycle division from the parent company. The new division has big plans for introducing an entire range of electric motorcycles within the next few years. By 2035 they plan to produce only zero-emission vehicles. Here is the story as published by Motorcycle.com: https://www.motorcycle.com/features/...torcycles.html

Interesting, as a Kawi owner I'm fond of there products however talks cheap but "show me the beef",,. I've yet to see anything hit the market that replaces real world motorcycles the way many people currently use them,,. Hybrid might be a solution?

Many make claims but the "proof is in the pudding" so lets see what they come to market with?

One thing Kawasaki has been proven good at: building exactly the same motorcycle for 15 years. They have to cease development of internal combustion now to make the claimed schedule.

Oh, marketing will pretend development and improvement is continuous but all they will do is lipstick on a pig. Change colors. Increase displacement. Tweak the tupperware.
    2016 Yamaha FJR1300A; 2016 Beta 430RS; 2007 BMW F800S; 2009 Husaberg FE450; 2016 Subaru Outback; 2018 F150; 2013 Tesla Model S 85; 1983 Porsche 928S; 9 cats

They, not just Kawi will have to produce a bike that works other wise folks will just keep what they have,,. Bikers have always shown a resilience in keeping the old bikes relevant through repairs and modification,,. There's so many used bikes around, it will take some real innovation that so far hasn't arrived to surpass range and weight of the old fleet, I don't say it wont come, just that we haven't seen it yet,!!
