They just keep on getting bigger. Motocycle.com reports that BMW is testing three new GS models, a R1300GS, a R1400GS and a M1300GS, what ever the heck that is. The way things are going it is only a matter of time before the big GS is powered by the R18 engine. Unfortunately, this morning Firefox is not allowing my computer to cut and paste the bookmark address so that I can post them here. Oddly, things were normal yesterday. So if you want to see the Motorcycle.com article you will have to search for it.

R1300/R1400; It'll be due to new emissions regulations. Increasing the capacity, further enhancing the water cooled aspect and adding in efficiencies (reduced drag, lighter components) with less stress on components.

M1300GS is essentially the GS version of the S1000XR. And competition to the Ducati, KTM & others in the 'super' adventure category.

“Bigger is better” seems a little nuts with motorcycles. I can see the freeway cruiser benefits, like my old K100RS 16V, but generally speaking aren’t lighter motorcycles more fun to live with? Then again I weigh 150 lbs so maybe it’s just me. I love the weight and maneuverability of my F800GT!
