A DOT approved helmet is the most important piece of safety gear that a motorcyclist can wear. Still, the range of legal helmets covers (or doesn’t cover) a wide range of protection. Since we’re street-wise enough to know that not everyone shares our belief in the importance of protective headgear.
Lend us your voice, oh MOrons! What is your preferred style of helmet?

Currently a Sheoi Neotec but it is getting on a bit so am replacing it with the newest Shark flip front. (Neotec is now £440 which is a bit too much for me.) If it is as comfortable once 'run in' on long trips I'll be happy as it has a good safety rating.

Shark Evoline.
Great to be able to flip the chinbar over to the back and wear it open faced when riding in the city on hot days.
Got his and hers - Mines is metallic grey, wife's is white with red stripes.

+1. For commuters Evoline is so flexible that there is not competition.

I'm still using a Multitec which is super-comfortable. I like the Shark helmets but found the sizing very strange.
I'm going to upgrade to a Arai Axces 2, Love the starflag design

scorpion exo900, unexpected gift proving very comfortable

Just bought the missus a Shark Evo one modular, I like the fact that the chin guard flips to the back for an open face ride, while still using the visor. A very clever touch.

My first Evo one pinlock was being marked by the top visor seal. Sent back and replaced. Now comfortable (with thinner cheek pads) and not too noisy.
-
Schuberth S2 Sport full-face white (because the coloured graphics S2s are £100 Sterling more!)

Only goes to show, how varied we all are with helmets. The main thing of course, is that we are all happy with what we have at this present time, and that is what counts eh

All my motorcycling life I've only worn AGV and Shoei. I perfer AGV over Shoei. I could never get an Arai to fit me.
New bike, new helmet. I had a good look around and settled on a Shark S900. So far, so good. Comfortable on longer rides and reasonably quiet.
padaek - A putrid and fetid smelling fermented fish sauce from Laos.

I rock a bell carbon/star.Bit pricey but how much is your head worth.Very light helmet so good on long rides.
