    I will be documenting in this thread, the fork spring swap I will be doing, as well as the manufacture of a home-made cartridge fork spring compressor. I will be replacing the stock Sachs springs with heavier rate Ohlins ones.

    The spring compressor couldn't be easier, it is just a ring with opposing handles you can screw into the coil, and a slotted plate to hold the spring back while you remove the jam nut.




    I will try to update this thread often, but my schedule is really full, so I may be sporadic.

    Just curious as to what you weigh in full gear. I test rode a 12 bike and loved it,but was told it was only sprung for about a 180 lb rider. Is this the reason your swapping springs? Thanks.
